Edit - October 4, 2012 Well it's been two years now that the blog is dead. Please note that very few if any of the links are still good. This blog is now a historical artifact, I hope someone can make use of the information provided here.

  1. I thought your blog went private, sorry to see it happen.I found that I really enjoy "kraut-rock" from some of the stuff you had posted. Thanks for all the time you invested in this blog and for turning me onto some great music

  2. Hi Neroon001, I remember your nick from before. Some asshole had about a year's worth of files deleted, and since it was my third major attack I decided to pack it in. I set the blog to private so he would think the blog was still going, and he hadn't beat me. Childish, I know.

  3. I am one of them leeches who used to visit your blog on a daily basis, download whatever I liked, and, never left any comments or even said thanks.

I was gutted when the blog "went private". Now, I'm glad you have given me the chance to thank you for the endless hours of pleasure I got from the music you shared with us.

I hope you reconsider your decision to pack it in; and, you bring back the blog to its full glory.

All the best, and, don't let the bastards keep you down.

  7. hey garcolga! nice to randomly click on a dead link to one of my fave blog and have it come back alive!
i shutdown my blogs too because of effin blog nazis...eeeerrrgggghhhh!!
but now, maybe i'll come back too..
i dunno, it just sucks when all you wanna do is be cool and share with the peeple and someone always gets all uppity, thinkin' they're protecting something the have absolutely dominion over, and decide they're gonna eff with you and try to thwart all of you efforts...eh?

  8. Hi marram62, what was/is your blog? I'd like to say though that the blog isn't "back" in the sense that I'll be making any more posts, I just hate to see all those files just wither away!

  9. Hi Gar, I know you from a secret forum we're both members of.
I dropped you a PM requesting to have access to what I also thought to be a now private blog.

    Never heard back...

Anyway glad you are allowing to save some of those great links you had.
    Thank you for doing so.

  10. Hi Eric - sorry about that! I hardly ever visit music forums anymore. There's not much I want that I don't already have, I have more music now than I can ever possibly listen to!

  11. Hi again Gar, I know exactly where you're coming from about too much music.
I remember as a kid if I got 3 (vinyl)albums @ once that was considered a big deal with my friends and I.

Well once again, glad I stumbled upon your site and it was open again.
I visited pretty reg. but saw the private thing etc.
    Take care and thanks

  12. 8 days was one of my favourite blogs and it was a sad day when it went under, but shit happens and we all go on with our lives. GarColga, like you I have more music than I can listen to, so maybe we can come to an arrangement? You listen to one half, and I'll listen to the other half, and maybe that way we'll get through it. :)

  16. I am so sad that this blog is dead. I have been away for almost two years due to personal circumstances, but before that I followed this blog intensely. I'm just now getting back to my old music blogs. Thanks so much for all the great music GarColga. You introduced me to a lot of stuff I would have otherwise never known about. The bands you've exposed should be thanking you! Best wishes.

  21. Dear Garcolga, thanks a million for everything! Yours was the first music blog I came to know, and the one introducing me to all that special German music I had been only vaguely aware of. Loved your own texts, too. (I've probably said that before... Can't stress it enough, see?) Relax, and let the young 'uns carry on the torch. Best wishes from Berlin
